A letter to my sisters
I need you. The world needs you.
We need you to step out of your comfort zone. There’s shit to be done and watching TV, going shopping, or gossiping won’t change anything except that you may continue to feel numb, and that time goes by.
We need you to step out of your victim role. Yes, women have been suppressed for a long time, for far too long and with the most cruel means. Feel the pain of that. And then use it to heal.
Stop blaming others for the situation you’re in. You are powerful beyond your imagination, and so have been your female ancestors. You can step out of this. You can choose not to be a victim.
You can choose to feel the pain of all that has been, and you can decide to stay in the now. The now, this very moment, is when you can start a new game, play a new game. Stop playing the game of competition and scarcity. Play the game of collaboration, community, love. You are a lover.
You can decide that it is enough and that you will walk your own path. That you will stand up for your being and your own truth. You are a warrioress.
You can speak your own truth. You can align your actions with your spoken words. You can choose integrity. You can choose to support your sisters instead of stabbing them in their back. Feel the joy that comes with the realisation that you have sisters, all over the world, and that you don’t have to do it alone. You are a queen.
You can decide to stop playing small. You can decide to stop being the nice little girl you always thought you had to be. You can stop living up to the (even imagined) expectations of your parents, your partner, your family, your friends, your bosses. Feel the fear that comes with these steps, and then use it to venture into the unknown, your future. You are a sorceress.
You are everything. You feel it all. The world needs you. Please show yourself, show up. For yourself, for your sisters, for your brothers, for your children. For the world.
Yours with love,
